Take time to smell the roses

One more elegant lady image, to show you how versatile stamps can be by using different colours, shapes, etc.

Materials used on this card are black card, coconut white card, Foundations double sided papers, Distress Ink, Creative Expressions Black Crochet Ribbon and Metal Corner Embellishments.

The dies used are Spellbinders Grand Ovals and Grand Scalloped Ovals. The flowers and leaves use the Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms set. The Spellbinders Dainty Dots M-Bossabilities was used on the large white mat, but for a change I used the de-bossed side on the card.

Style

Here is the same beautiful lady shown earlier this week but coloured in teals and blues, and used with different die-cuts and inks.

Dies used were Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangles, Banner Basics Three, Grand Rectangles and Spiral Blossom One.

The card used was Vintage Metallic Gold, Teal and Coconut White. I stamped various images from the stamp plate onto the teal card layer to add interest. I used Distress Ink through the rectangle die to frame the stamped and coloured image.

The letters are from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Alpha Parts. They are black plastic, so I added Perfect Medium and Cosmic Shimmer Gold Embossing Powder, so they would tone in with the project.

The card was finished with a little ribbon bow and the die cut flower.

Lady in Red

Here is another of the beautiful lady stamps from the Creative Expressions Elegant Ladies stamp plate.

The background has been made using Foundations double sided papers, matted onto black card. The decorative dies used are Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals One set and Spellbinders Die D-Lites Fantastic Flourish Three.

A few black self-adhesive pearls have been added to various corners and some rolled ribbon roses were made using the two shades of red ribbon.

Elegant Lady in Lavender

This stamped image comes from the Creative Expressions Elegant Lady A5 stamp plate.

I really enjoyed colouring in the image and matched the colours to the card I had decided to use.

The bow was made using a piece of seam binding ribbon with a piece of sheer iridescent ribbon, topped off with a Creative Expressions lavender dazzler.

Golden Medallion

This was one of my favourite samples for Dawn Bibby's shows on German Shopping TV.

I chose to use gold card and milk card, with some vellum.

The image was stamped using gold embossing powder, onto the three different colours.

The embossing folder used in the background was the Creative Expressions Lattice embossing folder.

Shades of Blue

Today's medallion stamp was stamped onto different shades of blue card and decorated with different shades of ultra-fine glitter.

This was quite a sparkly card so I chose to add an extra large ribbon bow and make the card into a statement piece.

Lots of fussy cutting involved in this one!

Oriental Medallion

I thought this card looked oriental because of the colours. I used two shades of red card plus black card and gold embossing powder.

I didn't do as many layers on this sample but instead decided to cut an aperture in which to frame the design.

Teal Medallion

This medallion stamp was stamped onto teal card and Foundations Double-Sided Paper, using Cosmic Shimmer True White embossing powder.

The centre was finished off with a Creative Expressions Teal Dazzler.

The layered up medallion was put into a square aperture and then Self Adhesive Pearl Swirls were added to two opposite corners.

Fridge Magnet

Here is another of my samples made for Dawn Bibby's German TV shows.

This time I made the design into a fridge magnet by gluing a piece of magnetic sheet to the reverse.

The magnetic sheet cuts very easily and you only need a small piece.
