Scribble Rose frenzy

This card uses some of my favourites from John Lockwood's new stamp range, the Scribble Rose Elements Clear Stamp set plus the co-ordinating Scribble Rose Striplet rubber stamp.

The green background panels were coloured using Distress Ink. The main roses were coloured using Cosmic Shimmer Drawing Inks.

The "ribbon" band was made using a strip of Coconut White card and then randomly stamping two of the scribble rose flower heads plus an assortment of leaves.

The decorative dies used to cut out the red and white mats were Spellbinders Labels Forty Two and Labels Forty Two Decorative Elements.

Cherish

Today's card uses a stamped image and a sentiment from John Lockwood's new Clear Stamp designs for Creative Expressions. The set used here is Lotus Frame Elements Clear Stamp set.

I decided to use the Cosmic Shimmer Drawing Inks to colour in the main stamped image. I then used the same colours to make a background, by flicking the drawing inks onto a piece of Coconut White card and for the bigger dots by dabbing a cotton bud into the drawing ink bottle, tipping the bottle over and back again, and then dabbing onto the card. The bottles have a non-spill valve in them so the cotton bud only absorbs a small amount of ink when used in this way.

I blended Distress Ink around the edges and trimmed the card with some ribbon and embellishments available from Creative Expressions.

The new Self-adhesive Pearl Corners were a perfect addition.

Dogwood blossom bouquet

A bouquet of Dogwood blossoms to wish someone well on today's card!

The stamps used are from the new John Lockwood designs for Creative Expressions. There are some Clear Stamp sets (this design uses the Dogwood Flower Frame Elements Clear Stamp set) and also some matching Striplet Rubber Stamps (Skeleton Leaves Striplet rubber stamp in this project).

The main stamp image was coloured using Distress Inks and then layered up with separate stamped images which were cut out and shaped.

A lazy daisy Birthday wish

I am delighted that John Lockwood's new stamp designs have been so well received. Here is a card made using the Daisy Corner Elements Clear Stamp set from Creative Expressions.

The stamped images were stamped using Black Archival Ink onto Coconut White Card. These layers were then stacked onto mats of Dark Roast Coffee and Black Card. The main Daisy image was coloured using Distress Markers.

One of the small daisy stamps was randomly stamped to create a backing design. The Coconut White Card layers were die cut using Spellbinders Labels Forty Two and 6 x 6 Matting Basics. Scattered Straw Distress Ink was blended around the edges of the card before the dies were removed.

Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Twinkles were used to fill some of the bubbles and also around the larger Coconut White Card mat.

Butterfly Dreams

Today's the day! John Lockwood launches his own stamp designs on Create & Craft today at 10am and 4pm.

Here is a card made using his Butterfly Dreams Elements Clear Stamp set.

It has been such fun using these new Elements stamps as you are free to compose your own layouts. For the background on this card I chose the bubbles stamp plus one of the small butterflies. I stamped these using two shades of blue Distress Ink and matted with co-ordinating coloured card.

The decorative die cut panel was made using Sue Wilson's Californian background die. The die cut was placed over some double sided adhesive and then Cosmic Shimmer Mica Powder was brushed over, attaching itself to the sticky areas between the die cut card. The cute little tags are also from one of Sue's new die designs, Pierced Tags (one of my favourites).

The butterfly panel was stamped using John's Butterfly Dreams Striplet stamp. This is a panel, designed to co-ordinate with the Elements stamps and also to fit the outside die from some of Sue Wilson's Striplet Die designs. The stamped image was coloured using a wet paint brush and Cosmic Shimmer Mica Powders (from the Garden Flora set).

Hope you are able to catch John's shows today for lots more inspiration.

John's new stamps

I was delighted to be asked by John Lockwood if I would like to make a few cards using his new stamp designs. John will be on Create & Craft with his new designs tomorrow (Saturday 28th February) at 10am and 4pm - I hope you get chance to watch him.

Here is a sneaky peek of a card I made using John's Scribble Rose Elements clear stamp set plus his Scribble Rose Striplet Stamp-to-Die-For.

The clear Elements stamp sets contain one or two main images, together with various separate elements in the same theme. There are also some really lovely sentiments.

The co-ordinating background stamp has been designed to fit the Striplet Die designs by Sue Wilson.

Pop back to see a card using a different set of Elements stamps from John Lockwood tomorrow.

A different colour

I was pleased with how the previous card turned out so decided to try a similar layout in a different colour way.

This time I used the Sunflower Delight Singles Stamp from Creative Expressions and Evergreen Bough Distress Ink. The "Miss You" comes included with the Sundrenched Singles Stamp.

Happy Days

A purple card for this blog post, using the Regal Iris Singles stamp from Creative Expressions and Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

For added interest, I added a layer of double sided adhesive to the stamped flower image and added micro beads on top.

The background was stamped using the "HAPPY DAYS" stamp from the Desert Daisies Singles stamp. After blending the ink around the edges, this mat was embossed using the Art Deco embossing folder by Sue Wilson.

The card was finished with a few Creative Expressions Self Adhesive Pearl Swirls and coordinating coloured mats to frame the design.

Sticky Notes Stand

This is another item I made to demonstrate at Alexandra Palace.

I used it to shamelessly promote my blog but you could also make it as a gift for someone.

The stamped image is from the Creative Expressions Singles stamp called Sundrenched and was coloured using Cosmic Shimmer Watercolour Paints. The swirls were die cut using the Die Set Petite Vinery by Sue Wilson.

The base is just a basic "easel" card, using the block of Sticky Notes as the stopper.

Rose Entwined

Here is a card I demonstrated at the last Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show at Alexandra Palace. Tickets are now on sale for the next show in April here.

This card was to demonstrate one of the Couture Creations A4 embossing folders called Royal George and to show that you could extend the design using a border die from the Craft Dies by Sue Wilson range. The border die is part of the French Collection and the small tag was die cut using the Austrian Collection.

The stamp used for the focal element was Rose Entwined Creative Expressions singles stamp, coloured using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Chalk Paints and then die cut using the Innsbruck Die Set from Sue Wilson.
